There were questions and discussion. Some questions that were raised are as follows: Is the density statement accurate?, Should higher density be defined?, Should real thresholds be included?, Should the design guideline recommend 45’ lakeshore setback in the downtown area?, Are the six redevelopment sites correct?, How should the entire redevelopment site be considered when a specific project proposes to redevelopment only a portion of it?, How should limited resources and development character be shared?, How do we get adjacent development to share?, How can redevelopment of the St. Jerome’s block be encouraged? Members also stated the City needs more specifics on parking, the lakes and use and the need to attract businesses to open to the lakes.

Members were asked to read the Guideline for Downtown Development information and then submit comments or drafts back to Duffy. Day and Schultz agreed to take a block downtown and do a charrette.
